Skydiving

When Hannah turned 16 she decided she wanted to go skydiving.  We couldn't go at that time so we made a plan to go during her next school break.  To be honest, I kind of thought she would forget about it or change her mind but she did not.  So this past weekend while we were in Diani she did it.  Here are some pics and video's of Hannah on that day.  By the way, she LOVED it!!

We left the lodge we were staying in and took a tuktuk to get around town.

We went to a plce called Kokkos for her to have lunch before jumping.

The Colobus monkeys are an endangered species on the coast of Kenya.  We saw some as we were walking to the skydiving place.

While Hannah did her thing we enjoyed a lunch with friends at a place called  Forty Thieves right on the beach.  We kept our eyes on the sky so we could watch her land on the beach.

 Getting unhooked

Sergia was the guy who came down tandem with Hannah.

Thankfully, it was a beautiful day and not a cloud in the sky.
The day before it had rained and it was cloudy.

A beautiful place

We decided to take a little time off and go to Diani on the coast of Kenya.  It is really a beautiful place.

The water was so clear in most places.

We stayed at a place called The Baobab.  There were several pools to enjoy.

You can even go for a ride on a camel if you like.

We mostly hung out at this pool.  It was so neat because it looks as if the water from the pool just goes off in to the ocean.

We really enjoyed relaxing, walking on the beach, swimming in the pool, and eating good food.

Of course the trip wouldn't be complete without some monkeys.
