Thy Word is a Lamp unto my Feet

The first time I took my mom out into Ng'ombe compound she couldn't even take any pictures because it was so overwhelming to her. The second time though she was able to take some pictures. Really, pictures don't even begin to describe what it is like because you are seeing what is in these 4-5 inches only.

These first few pictures were taken driving through the compound.

It is hard to tell in this picture but this is actually two women carrying love seats on their heads. Amazing!

My class was very big this time. They had been having another meeting on this day so they decided to all stay for bible study too. I even had about 5 men.

This is Esther standing. She was introducing herself to my mom. They all went around the circle and introduced themselves.

I was teaching on what happens to you after you die. This man in the picture did not believe in hell. So as you can imagine we had a lively discussion.

While I taught the adults Hannah and Gram had the kids.

Hannah told the story of Daniel and the Lions Den. They sang songs and drew pictures too.

When we first started going to teach here Hannah was a bit nervous. Now she is very comfortable there and loves every bit of it.

Please pray for these women and children to come to know Jesus. Pray for me and Hannah as we continue to go here and teach these two groups. Pray especially for the man who did not believe in hell. May they all believe in the TRUTH of God's Word.

Chimusanya Baptist Church

For my parents last Sunday here in Zambia we went out to the bush to go to church. Chimusanya Baptist Church is in our old area out east of Lusaka. I taught the women there for about 1 year every Thursday afternoon. Kevin has also taught there numerous times and we have a close relationship with the pastor.

At the end of the service the pastor asked if my Dad would like to say anything so he did.

Chimusanya Baptist Church. You can see where they have dug around the church. They are planning on expanding the building soon.

After church we went to the pastors home and had lunch.

Pastor Zulu showed us around his village. In this hut he had lots of rabbits. Several years ago we gave him a few rabbits and now they have multiplied. They are able to eat some and sell some too.

She showed my mom how the Zambian women put their babies on their backs with a chitenge.

Going to the Farm

This is the Gordons who own the farm where my dad, Kevin, and Zach went hunting. My Dad really hit it off with Dave so we went back another day for me and my mom to go too and see their farm. It was an amazing farm! I had never seen a farm so big. It's only about an hour and 15 min. outside of Lusaka.

This is their home.

This is just one of his fields! Isn't it beautiful?

He has several of these watering holes and pumps throughout the farm.

They had just picked all the tobacco and now it was time to separate it into different grades and pack it up to sell. This was very interesting to me. I had never seen anything like it before.
